History
From 2009-2010, Made in Akron was a retail boutique in Highland Square that celebrated small businesses and local artists 'making things in Akron'.
Our goal was to bring together, under one roof, the best of Akron small businesses. Sadly, the economic problems of the day limited our opportunities and we closed the store in the fall of 2010.
Last year, Made in Akron re-launched with an ambitious plan to help Akron area micro- & small-businesses, musicians, artists and non-profits thrive with a blend of physical and virtual marketing.

To help our Owners succeed with innovative marketing, sales incentives and promotional opportunities via the MIA Marketplace and a range of creative gift box options.
Vision
Locally owned, Akron small businesses are the backbone of our community.
Owners have an active and personal interest in the well-being of our community, serving as an engine for economic vitality and cultural identity.
Made in Akron will continue to actively support our Owners, sharing their stories and promoting all the good things they make in Akron.
